PURPOSE: A multilingual electronic catalogue producing method and system is provided to translate a raw data file, offered by a customer, into a data file written in a desired foreign language by using a machine translation technique, and to produce an electronic catalogue by using the translated data file. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises plural client computers(110), a machine translation server(120), and an electronic catalogue producing server(140). The client computers(110) enable customers to produce a raw data file including basic catalogue data and target language data. The machine translation server(120) receives the raw data file from the client computers(110), and translates the raw data file into the data file written in the target language. In a case that the raw data file is a moving picture, the machine translation server(120) separates the raw data file into image data and voice data converts the voice data into text data, and translates the text data into the data written in the target language. The electronic catalogue producing server(140) receives the translated file from the machine translation server(120), and produces an electronic catalogue of a specific format.
