PURPOSE: A speed limiting system of a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to exactly control the speed of the vehicle and quickly find a desired value without errors. CONSTITUTION: A speed limiting system of a vehicle(10) is composed of an accelerator pedal(11); a throttle lever(14) connected and mounted to the accelerator pedal to interlock according to the operations of the accelerator pedal; a motor(20) connected and installed to interlock and operate the throttle lever; a cylinder(12) disposed to interlock according to the operation of the motor; a cable(13) connected with the accelerator pedal, the cylinder, and the throttle lever to interlock the accelerator pedal, the cylinder, and the throttle lever; an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,22) installed to the vehicle to control the operation of the motor; and a position sensor(21) installed to the motor to control the speed of the vehicle near the speed limit of the vehicle.
