PURPOSE: An OFDM transmitter capable of varying a level value of a pseudo noise sequence according to a service mode to insert the varied level value into an OFDM signal is provided to allow an OFDM receiver to judge a service mode without restoring the OFDM signal. CONSTITUTION: An OFDM transmitter inserts pseudo noise sequence information that is synchronous information of an OFDM signal into the OFDM signal to perform time domain synchronous transmission. The OFDM transmitter includes a guard interval insertion unit(300), a mode information setting unit(400), and a mode information insertion unit(500). The guard interval insertion unit inserts a guard interval into the OFDM signal in order to restrain inter-symbol interference of the OFDM signal. The mode information setting unit variably sets a level value of the pseudo noise sequence information according to a service mode of the OFDM signal. The mode information insertion unit inserts the pseudo noise sequence information having the level value set corresponding to the service mode into the OFDM signal.
