<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite magnetic member wherein the shape of its weak magnetic part is flat when the weak magnetic part is formed, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A plate ferromagnetic body as a material for the composite magnetic member is partly irradiated with heat to form the weak magnetic part having a molten solidification structure in at least a part of the plate ferromagnetic body, and as a result, the composite magnetic member which is of a single composition and is provided with both a ferromagnetic part and the weak magnetic part is manufactured. In such a manufacturing method, when the weak magnetic part is formed by thermal irradiation, front and rear surfaces of a region as the weak magnetic part are made to have non-oxidative atmospheres. Preferably, an inert gas is sprayed to make both surfaces of the weak magnetic part to be a non-oxidative atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
