PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable assembly with a connector having a stable electric characteristic. SOLUTION: This cable assembly with a connector has a cable assembly of a plurality of cables 5, and a connector connected with the cables. Each cable has at least two signal wires 15, 17 comprising a core wire and an insulator, a drain wire 21, and a shield. When the orthogonal direction of an extension axis is designated as an X-axis direction in an XY plane defined by the extension axis of the signal wire, the drain wire is arranged between the signal wires in the X-axis direction. At a cable end with the shield removed, each signal wire has insulating parts 43, 45 coated with the insulator, and exposure parts 47, 49 with core wires exposed. Each drain wire has a crossing part 51 crossing the insulating part of the adjacent signal wire and extending in the X-axis direction, and a parallel part 53 extending in a Y-axis direction from the crossing part towards tip end.
