PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of manual mounting of a recording medium. SOLUTION: This recording medium apparatus is equipped with a recording medium holder 50 movably supported on a base member, an ejecting bar 90 moved by the drive of a motor 80 to push and move the medium holder from a mounting position to an ejection position, and a reversing switch for reversely rotating the motor after the ejecting bar is moved in the direction Y<SB>2</SB>to move the recording medium holder to the ejection position. The reverse rotation of the motor returns the ejecting bar to the original position, and the recording medium can be manually mounted with a light force without being affected by the ejection bar.
