<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery device having a fuel circulating mechanism suitable for reducing the size of a fuel battery. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel battery device comprises a fuel battery cell 1, a tank for methanol fed to the battery cell, and a flow passage for circulating the methanol. A piezoelectric actuator 50 is installed on the partition wall 42 of the fuel chamber 40 of the battery cell. The piezoelectric actuator is disposed adjacent to the partition wall of the fuel chamber. The piezoelectric actuator is disposed adjacent to a pipeline for circulating the fuel between a fuel source and the fuel chamber.
