<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the feed amount of oxygen to catalyst for oxidizing carbon monoxide. <P>SOLUTION: A reaction plate for oxidizing carbon monoxide comprises an oxygen permeable layer for permeating oxygen therethrough, a porous body layer, and a catalyst layer. The oxygen permeable membrane layer controls the amount of oxygen permeated according to air and the partial pressure of oxygen of the modified gas, and the porous body layer controls the amount of the oxygen permeated according to the sizes of pores in the porous body layer. Since this reaction plate controls the amount of the oxygen fed to the catalyst layer, the reaction plate steppingly performs the oxidation of carbon monoxide to suppress the occurrence of an abrupt oxidation reaction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
