<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell attaining miniaturization, thinning, and large output at the same time, and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell is provided with a membrane/electrode joined body formed by joining a catalyst electrode 8 on one surface of a membrane base material 6, a membrane/electrolyte complex 4 formed with an electrolyte layer 12 on one surface of a membrane base material 10 different from the membrane base material 2, and diffusion layers 16 and 18 for supplying gas or liquid to the catalyst electrode 8. This fuel cell is formed by interposing the membrane/electrolyte complex 4 and the diffusion layers 16 and 18 between a laminated structure formed by repeatedly folding down and up prescribed parts of the membrane/electrode joined body 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
