PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver for receiving a multiplexed digital broadcast program by quickly discriminating whether or not a target broadcast program exists so as to improve the operability and the convenience of viewers. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver is provided with: at least an error correction section 14 for receiving program sequence information for a prescribed period in the case of receiving a digital broadcast signal so as to analyze a missing occurrence state of the program sequence information; and a control means 20 for discriminating the propriety of reception of the program sequence information on the basis of the result of analysis and informing the viewers about the result of discrimination, and the error correction section 14 analyzes the occurrence state of a correction disabled error, and the control means 20 discriminates that the target broadcast is canceled or interrupted when no correction disabled error takes place to allow a display apparatus or a speaker to inform the viewers about it.
