<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for notification of update of an EDA (engineering design automation) library which can notify a user of only necessary notice of update for the user. <P>SOLUTION: Update information is obtained (S101, S102), acquisition history information specifying an EDA library matching an EDA library specified with the update information is extracted (S103) according to the update information and acquisition history information, and an LSI product to be developed by using the EDA library specified with the extracted acquisition history information and a user who is developing the LSI product are extracted (S106); and an EDA tool used for a developing process to be carried out after the date and time of the update is extracted according to developing process information (S107), it is judged whether the EDA library used by the extracted EDA tool matches the updated EDA library (S108), and when they match each other, the user extracted at S106 is notified of the update (S109). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
