PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a thin and flat cell properly keeping airtightness and liquid tightness between a gasket integrally formed to the inner peripheral part of a cell case and a rubber group by a rubber group sealing material. SOLUTION: For the manufacturing method of the flat cell of which, an electricity generating element is sealed by a case integrated with the gasket and a shallow dish-shaped sealing plate, rubber component is applied either to the inner surface of the gasket or to the peripheral part of the sealing plate, and rubber cross-linking agent is applied to the other, and rubber component and the rubber cross-linking agent are made to contact with each other only when caulking a case opening part inward. By the above, the rubber cross- linking process is promoted, sealing property between the gasket and the sealing plate is heightened, and the airtightness and liquid tightness of the sealing part is improved.
