PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTC composition which has low initial resistance and a small change in the resistance when tripping is repeated and excellent productivity, and to provide a high polymer PTC using the same. SOLUTION: This PTC composition comprises a conductive powder containing ketjhen black which has smaller resistance than that of carbon black which is conventionally used, and a binder containing polyvinylidene fluoride which is soluble in a general organic solvent. The use of the ketjhen black reduces the resistance of the element, and the use of the polyvinylidene fluoride forms a film of high a polymer PTC composition by applying paste in which the conductive powder is dispersed in a binder solution, thereby improving productivity.
