<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus, method and program for creating a table capable of newly and automatically creating a table of the type similar to an existing spreadsheet by using the existing spreadsheet without setting formulas, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A correspondence detecting part 1 checks an existing spreadsheet to detect patterns of correspondence between data to be calculated for the cells of the spreadsheet or for table components arranged in rows or columns and formulas, etc. A table securing part secures a table to be created for creating a new spreadsheet. An associating part 3 creates a new spreadsheet by associating new data or formulas, etc., with the table components in the table to be created, according to the patterns detected by the correspondence detecting part 1.
