PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deter electronic equipment from getting out of order owing to change of an operation environment. SOLUTION: Various sensors 31 arranged below a palm rest are a shock sensor 41 which senses a shock and vibration momentarily applied to a notebook type personal computer 21, a magnetic sensor 41 which senses the intensity of a magnetic field, a temperature and humidity sensor 43 which sense temperature and humidity, and a pressure sensor 44 which senses continuously applied pressure. An attention attracting part 32 comprises a light emission part 51 which emits light of a specified color at specified intervals, a speech synthesis part 52 which synthesizes a speech signal and an alarm tone, and a vibration generation part 53 which generates fine vibration. An attention attracting program 33 displays a dialog attracting attention on a screen, places the attention attracting part 32 in operation, or sends electronic mail according to sensing outputs of the various sensors 31.
