<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast system by which segments allocated to the respective channels are effectively used. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcast station 1 collects pieces of viewing information from a plurality of receivers 2 and viewing ratio of each of a plurality of pieces of contents data to be simultaneously broadcasted by using pieces of the viewing information. The broadcast station 1 further determines the number of segments to the respective pieces of contents data according to the calculated viewing ratio and broadcasts the respective pieces of contents data by using the number of segments equivalent to the number of determined segments. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
