PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time needed for a page-in process and to shorten the time needed for process migration. SOLUTION: A plurality of computers A, B,..., are connected on a network. The respective computer nodes are provided with secondary storage devices 1a, 1b,..., respectively. A virtual storage management part 8 generates a backup file according to a process that its computer node performs. This backup file is stored in the secondary storage device 1a by a decentralized file system 2. Further, the decentralized file system 2 stores a duplicate file of the backup file 5 in the secondary storage device 1b of the computer B. A process migration embodiment part 6a determines the computer node that the secondary storage device 1b storing the duplicate file 5 of the backup file as a transfer destination of the process according to the contents of a virtual storage management table 9a belongs to.
