PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera which does not impart a feeling of incompatibility to a photographer based upon the idea completely different from conventional ideas and is highly functional but has inexpensive and compact configuration. SOLUTION: When lens groups 51 and 52 are driven for zooming, driving for focusing is performed as well such that an angle of view of an image displayed on an image display part 8 is not linearly changed during zooming. Even in such a case, updating of image indication on the image display part 8 is stopped to perform so-called freezing of the display image.
