PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic camera in which an image data file and an audio data file are associated in arbitrary combination. SOLUTION: In an image reproducing mode, an electronic still camera displays a plurality of thumbnail images 21A-21D of the image data file and a plurality of audio marks 241-243 of the audio data file on a monitor. When a determination switch SW4 (figure 1) is operated, the image data file corresponding to a thumbnail image selected by a cursor 22 is associated with the audio data file corresponding to an audio mark selected by a cursor 25. When an audio switch SW6 (figure 1) is operated, an audio of the audio data file corresponding to the audio mark of the thumbnail image selected by the cursor 22 is reproduced when an image/audio changeover switch SW3 (figure 1) selects images, and when the image/audio changeover switch SW3 (figure 1) selects audios, an audio of the audio data file corresponding to the audio mark selected by the cursor 25 is reproduced.
