PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of obtaining an excellent image even when shading is ununiformly applied to a plurality of output image data from a plurality of areas on an imaging face of an imaging device. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a C-MOS image sensor 1 on the light receiving face acting like an imaging face of which a plurality of pixels are placed in a matrix shape; a control section 3 for dividing the imaging face into a plurality of imaging areas, so as to discriminate in which of the plurality of imaging areas an area with a processing object pixel existing thereon exists; and a shading correction section 8 and a luminance shading correction section 10 for having correction values set to each of the plurality of imaging areas and using the correction value of the imaging area in which the processing object pixel exists to apply shading correction to image data of the processing object pixel.
