PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disclose a method of refining an organic semiconductor material which is suitable for mass productivity and capable of providing a high-purity material, and to provide the organic semiconductor material obtained by using this refining method and a semiconductor device using the same.

SOLUTION: The method of refining an organic semiconductor material is characterized in (1) that impurities are removed by a supercritical solvent, and (2) that the organic semiconductor material is aπ-conjugated high-molecular component or (3) that the organic semiconductor material is selected from among a substitution product of a thiophene, vinylene, thienylene vinylene, phenylene vinylene, p-phenylene; a condensed polycyclic aromatic compound such as an olygomer in which the number n of repeating unit of these materials is 4-10 or a polymer or pentacene in which the number n of repeating unit is not less than 20, where two or more kinds of these materials are used as a repeating unit; and fullerenes.
