PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifying equipment of a communication party by which the communication party is easily specified in radio communication. SOLUTION: The method for specifying the equipment for the communication party in the radio communication is a method for specifying the equipment for the communication party in starting communications between a cellular telephone 1 and a personal computer 2. The method comprises: an address recording step recording the address of the cellular telephone 1 on a recording medium and transiting the state of the cellular telephone 1 to a communication waiting state (S12); an address reading step making the personal computer 2 read the address recorded on the recording medium in the address recording step (Step 16); a communication request transmission step transmitting communication request by the personal computer 2 to the cellular telephone 1 based on the address read in the address reading step (Step 18); and a communication start step starting the communications between the cellular telephone 1 and the personal computer 2 based on the communication request transmitted in the communication request transmission step (S22).
