<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a router apparatus whereby even a device connected to a local side LAN can use an assigned global IP address. <P>SOLUTION: A local side LAN interface 2 mutually converts between a communication signal with the device connected to the local LAN and a signal with a form processed inside the router apparatus. A nonvolatile memory 3 stores information used to identify device using the global IP address among devices connected to the local side LAN, a CPU 5 executes a program stored in a ROM 4 and a RAM 6 stores required primary storage data. Further, a communication interface 1 mutually converts between an external communication signal and a signal with a form processed inside the router apparatus, and when the global IP address in compliance with the TCP/IP is assigned to the device connected to the local side LAN, even when the device connected to the local side LAN can use the assigned global IP address. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
