PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a tab terminal, with no flash at an aluminum uniform- pressure part, with a constant thickness at the uniform-pressure part, and with four rounded corners. SOLUTION: A cut-in blade is reversed from a forward path to a return path at an abutting position of a punch for uniform-pressuring an aluminum head, and a protruding part of the aluminum head which is uniformly pressed is engraved with a cut-in line. A cut-out blade is moved in the direction opposite to that of the cut-in blade, to cut out the protruding part of the aluminum head along the cut-in line. The edge of the cut-in blade is provided with a notch which initially pulls the protruding part and then cuts it. Thus, a spring back acts to cause a gap (t) between the blade and the uniform-pressure part, so that neither a cut bur nor chamfer bur is generated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
