PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone with an off-line power saving mode for disconnecting an on-line mode and using an off-line mode other than communication. SOLUTION: The mobile phone having a wireless communication section for transmitting/receiving a phone call and mail in the on-line mode and a mail creating section for referencing an address directory to create the mail, is characterized in that it includes: a power supply section for always monitoring an operating voltage of a battery voltage of the mobile phone; and a microprocessor for bringing the mode to the off-line mode when the power supply section detects a prescribed battery voltage disabling the communication on the basis of the usual monitoring to stop supply of power to the wireless communication section and supplying the power only to the mail creating section to control the reduction of the power consumption of the battery.
