PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame body of a battery assembly capable of stably and surely holding heavy nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries only by clamping and fixing them at both ends thereof, and to provide a battery assembly using the frame body. SOLUTION: A module is formed by clamping front side and back side of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 by a pair of resin frames 2. The battery assembly formed by arranging one or more of the modules in front to back direction, are held by side plates 3, 3 located at the front and back sides of the battery assembly, and the resin frames 2 are fixed by through boils 4. An indented part 2d is formed to the outer side surface of the resin frames 2 at the side opposite to the side facing each other by pairing, so as to fit with the indented part 2d at the outer surface of the resin frame 2 of the other adjacent module.
