PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which can prevent warping or break of electrodes 1a, 1b of a power generation element 1 when inserting the electrodes 1a, 1b between electrode connection parts 2b of a current-collecting connection body 2 by setting the direction in which the electrodes 1a, 1b terminate at their outermost turns of winding to be reverse in the direction in which the electrodes 1a, 1b are inserted between the electrode connection parts 2b. SOLUTION: In the battery, linear parts of the long cylindrical electrodes 1a, 1b protruding from the end faces of the long cylindrical wound-power generation element 1 are inserted between a pair of electrode connection parts 2b provided to project from a main body 2a of the current-collecting connection body 2 connected to a terminal 4. The electrodes 1a, 1b overlapping at the linear parts are separately connected to either one of the electrode connection parts 2b. The outermost turns of winding of the electrodes 1a, 1b of the power generation element 1 pass through a curved part on a side of the main body 2a of the connection body 2 and terminate at a linear part before reaching the other curved part.
