PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of making a stator improving work efficiency by suppressing the increase in the number of part items, while ensuring insulation of a coil. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the method of making a stator 10 provided with a stator core 20, having teeth 21 of protrusive shape and insulators 30, 40 having a pair of insulator pieces 45 for external periphery bendable in the tangential direction of the stator core 20, while extending in the radial direction outer side from the teeth protruded end part 21b of this stator core 20. The method of manufacturing the stator 10 is constituted, by winding a coil 50 to the teeth 21 of the stator core 20, after arranging in it the insulators 30, 40, and by bending a pair of the insulator pieces 45 for the external periphery in the tangential direction of the stator core 20 further in a direction opposite to each other.
