PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current-amplifying circuit which can amplify input current, without degrading frequency band even for fast input signal with low input current and a signal detection circuit which uses it. SOLUTION: The current-amplifying circuit is configured so that it has a first current amplifying section 14 for amplifying photoelectric current from a photoelectric conversion element 11 to a predetermined times, a first current source 12 for generating a first additional current to be added to the photoelectric current and adding this first additional current to the photoelectric current, prior to the input to the first current amplifying section, and a second current source 17 that generates a second additional current corresponding to the predetermined times of the first additional current, and subtracts the second additional current from the photoelectric current, to which the first additional current amplified in the first current amplification section has been added.
