PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can be easily assembled without a need for a jig or screw and realize and integral joint of the case. SOLUTION: The electronic device includes a front and rear cases 2 and 3 to be joined at their opening sides to each other and integrally fixedly assembled, a battery lid 4 for closing a battery chamber 33 under a condition that a battery 5 is housed in the battery chamber 33 provided on the outer surface side of the rear casing 3, and a lock member 60 for fixing the battery simultaneously with the fixing of the battery lid 4. The front case 2 is provided at one end of its opening with a leg 23 which is extended toward the opening of the rear casing 3, and with a lock claw 24 provided at the tip of the leg. The rear casing 3 is provided in the vicinity of one end of the opening of the rear casing 3 with an insertion hole 31 which is to engagedly receive the lock claw 24 at the tip of the leg.
