PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable, high productivity electronic device in which a cover can be fixed rigidly to a case member even when the overall structure is reduced and the external dimensions can be kept constant substantially by suppressing defective external view. SOLUTION: The electronic device comprises a case member 10 having a cavity 11 containing an electronic component element 40 on the upper surface, and a cover 20 closing the opening of the cavity 11 and having a sidewall part 21 facing the upper region of the outer side face of the case member 10 at the outer circumferential part thereof wherein the case member 10 and the sidewall part 21 are bonded fixedly by filling the facing region thereof with adhesive 30. In the facing region of the sidewall part 21 on the outer side face of the case member 10, an annular cut 14 is made in the case member over the entire circumference thereof with the lower end of the cut being located lower than the facing region, and a part of the adhesive 30 is extended lower than the lower end of the sidewall part 21 and received in the cut 14.
