<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment which permits the sure grasping of it and the inclusion of a comparatively large display means in spite of being portable, even if the equipment has a large size, making it difficult to carry with one hand conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: The display means 3 is provided on one face (display surface) of the equipment body 2. On a back face on a side opposite to the display surface, two salients for holding fingers 4L, 4R are formed. A spacing between at least one side edge of the equipment body and a catching edge 10i of the salient which is held with fingers is made to be almost same with a spacing between the thenar eminence p of a human hand and the fingertips, which are crooked lightly, of fingers f<SB>2</SB>, f<SB>3</SB>, f<SB>4</SB>, f<SB>5</SB>other than a thumb f<SB>1</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
