PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus or the like for discriminating whether an input image includes a specific image or not even when changing setting of colors of the specific image. SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus for discriminating whether or not the input image includes the specific image in a first color or a second color having a specific portion, the image processing apparatus is provided with a first color extracting means and a second color extracting means and when the specific image is in the first color or the second color, the specific portion is detected from the input image converted by the first color extracting means or the second color extracting means. Based upon the detected position, a prescribed area is segmented out of the input image converted by the first color extracting means or the second color extracting means, the segmented prescribed area is collated with the specific image and based upon the collated result, it is discriminated whether the input image includes the specific image or not.
