<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a method for more accurately correcting a defective pixel by means of adjacent pixels and decreasing an error due to a shift in an imaging device, so as to suppress deterioration in an image. <P>SOLUTION: A shift means 3 periodically shifts an imaging device 2 for imaging an object image and allows the imaging device 2 to output an image signal at each shifted position, an image processing section 4 rearranges the image signals of the imaging device 2 to composite images, and a defective pixel correction section 5 applies different correction processing to a defective pixel of the composed image responding a shifted position by the shift means 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
