<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with suppressed decomposition of an electrolytic solution, and a method for manufacturing the battery. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium secondary battery comprises a collector, a cathode and an anode having an active material layer containing an active material and a conductive agent formed on the collector, and a polymer electrolyte held therebetween. A fluorine resin thin film is formed on the surface of the active material layer of at least one of the cathode and the anode, the fluorine resin is present in pores between components included in the active material layer of at least one of the cathode and the anode. The polymer electrolyte is formed of a polymerized stuff consisting of a crosslinking monomer and the electrolyte consisting of lithium salt and organic solvent, and a porous membrane formed of an insulating resin is held between the cathode and the anode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
