<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system improved for reducing power consumption of a computing device capable of communicating via a wireless network and enabling a more long device operation and/or less battery use. <P>SOLUTION: The wireless computing device supports a low electric power control channel to receive a control signal during an idle period of the operation. If the computing device is idling, the device is constituted to turn off all power sources of its component except the circuit needed to supply electric power to the low electric power channel.
