<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input and output apparatus wherein the reader part of a multifunction machine can be used by another function such as a copying function in a period after the document reading is completed and while and image is transferred, even when there is a large difference between a document reading speed and an image transferring speed through a network in a network scanner function. <P>SOLUTION: A control means divides one unit of image processing expressed with an image processing parameter fetched by a fetching means into an image input job for inputting image data by an image input means and an image output job for outputting the image data by an image input means, independently controls the execution of the divided image input job and image output job, starts a new image input job in a period after finishing a preceding image input job and before the finish of the image output job in connection with the preceding image input job, and starts a new image output job before the finish of a preceding image output job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
