PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the high speed recording/reproducing operation of data in a hybrid disk device of a sector servo system by allowing it to record/ reproduce the data without waiting for one turn of a disk medium after the head switching. SOLUTION: The device is constituted so that a disk control part 2 is furnished with a seek control part 74 for outputting a seek command to control so as to perform the seek operation and also the discriminating information of the head for performing the seek operation, to the disk drive 4, and also the disk drive 4 is furnished with a seek operation part 75 for receiving the seek command and the head discriminating information from the above seek control part 74 to perform the seek operation.
