An air-filled cushioning member (1) formed with collective small cells (2). The cushioning member (1) provides cushioning effect when part of a soft resin sheet having airtightness is sealed and air is filled inside the sealed resin sheet. Each cell (2) is partitioned into a main small cell (21) and an auxiliary small cell (22) by an air-permeable seal (3) through which air can communicate. When the main small cell (21) is pressed by external force (P), air inside the main small cell (21) moves to the auxiliary small cell (22) through the air-permeable seal (3). Thus, the possibility of burst of the small cell (2) is reduced so that an object (A) to be protected that is in contact with the small cell (2) is protected sufficiently.
