CALCINEURIN ACTIVATORS

Calcineurin activators containing the following protein (a) or (b) as the active ingredient and having an effect of elevating intracellular calcium ion concentration due to flow of calcium ion into eucaryotic cells. (a) A killer protein KLKP produced by a killer yeast Kluyveromyces lactis which has three subunits respectively comprising the amino acid sequences represented by SEQ ID NOS:2 to 4. (b) A protein having three subunits as in the above protein (a), wherein at least one of the subunits has an amino acid sequence suffers from deletion, substitution or addition of one or several amino acids, and having the activity of the Kluyveromyces lactis killer protein (KLKP).
