The state of a product is indicated by displaying a pseudo-animate object and can be understood at a glance by a person viewing the display. A pseudo-animate object displayed on a display device indicates the "aging state (boy (61) or middle-aged man (62)) corresponding to the progress of degradation with time of an industrial product within the useful life and indicates the "expression" (smiling expression (a) or angry expression (b)) corresponding to the temporary load state on the industrial product. Therefore the two states (progress of degradation with time and temporary load state) can be understood at a glance by a person viewing the display.
