PLUG REPLACING DEVICE AND PLUG REPLACING METHOD

A plug replacing device (10) comprising an airtight chamber body (21) being fixed removably to the bottle head, an opening (19) for supplying N gas into the chamber body, an air vent valve (57) for exhausting air in the chamber body, an elevating/lowering first supporting structure (28) for supporting a cork screw, and an elevating/lowering second supporting structure (34) for housing an alternative plug. The first and second supporting structures can change the positions mutually and one supporting structure faces the opening of the bottle selectively from above. When the first supporting structure (2 8) is located above the opening, the bottle plug can be pulled in under N gas atmosphere. When the second supporting structure (34) is located above the opening, the alternative bottle plug can be fixed to the bottle head under N gas atmosphere. When a bottle plug is replaced by an alternative plug using this device, air can be prevented from intruding into the bottle thus causin g deterioration of quality.
