The invention relates to an integrated circuit comprising several physical levels. Safety-critical circuit components (22, 24, 25, 28, 30) are disposed on a lower level while data lines (11) are disposed on an upper level such that said data lines (11) are located at least in part above the safety-critical circuit components. The inventive integrated circuit is characterized by the fact that it is provided with a detector circuit which detects an attack on the integrated circuit. Said detector circuit comprises a transmission device (2) supplying predefined test data (5) to the safety-critical circuit components, a receiver device (3) receiving the data which has been processed by the safety-critical circuit components, and an evaluation device (4) which compares the received data with expected data and detects an incompatibility, the data lines (11) carrying data that is required for processing the supplied data. |
