A situation recording/search device can record a long-time monitoring data, can effectively search a matter or an object related to a case at a high speed, and can reproduce a real image and a CG (computer graphics) using code data. According to information acquired by an information acquiring device (2), an object is recognized by a recognition device (4), a database (3) containing an object and a recognition code corresponding its attribute is referenced, and the object recognized is converted to a corresponding recognition code by a code conversion device (5). Furthermore, the recognition code is made into a form appropriate for recording by a recognition code arrangement/generation device (6) and a recognition code arrangement/distribution/generation device (7). A situation signal generation device (8) generates a situation signal, which is recorded by a recording device (9). Moreover, the situation signal is reproduced together with the attribute data and displayed by a reproduction/display device (10).
