A waveguide arrangement for controlling one or more optical attributes of a light signal, including a 1Xn coupler section having n control elements, wherein n is equal or greater than one, a dynamic section associated with the 1Xn coupler section and having at least one control element, and an nX1 coupler section associated with the dynamic section and having n control elements, wherein the control elements, when activated according to a predetermined scheme, are able to produce at least one dynamically-controlled channel in at least one, respective, region of the waveguide arrangement by modifying a refractive index of the waveguide arrangement in the at least one region, respectively, and wherein the at least one dynamically-controlled channel, when produced, is able to guide at least a fraction of the light signal. |
