An electronic device (200) includes a power supply; a voltage regulator (230), operably coupled to the power supply, to provide a regulated voltage to a number of components (210) within the electronic device, and a universal serial bus connector (240), operably coupled to the voltage regulator (230) via a differential data line and a bus voltage line. The bus voltage line is operably coupled to the differential data line and the voltage regulator (230) via a voltage pull-up circuit (241, 260) to provide a voltage on the differential data line that is greater than a voltage output from the voltage regulator (230).In this manner, a single voltage regulator can be used to provide a supply voltage to one or more components/ circuits in the electronic device, as well as providing an adequately high voltage for the USB differential data line. |
