摘要 Start and stop pulsations caused by opening and closing valves make it difficult to determine the mass flow through a tube. The problem is extreme in filling systems with frequent starts and stops, and particularly extreme, where mass flowmeters used are based on the coriolis principle. Here, the start and stop pulsations will interfere with the coriolis oscillations. In order to solve this problem, the invention suggests a mass flowmeter, which measures the force exerted on the measuring tube by the pulsations, instead of compensating for them, and then integrates the measured force to find the mass flow. By means of an additional integration, the total mass can be found. Further, a system using the mass flowmeter is described.
