<p>A hand operated reel for flat straps has a horizontal, slotted reel core (6) to secure one end of the strap. The reel is operated by a hand crank (3) and has a bearing support in the centre of a fixed disc (2) set vertically and supported by a fixed bracket (7) slotted into a U-shaped socket (8) mounted, for example, on a vehicle. The reel provides a straight sided wound reel with a minimum of dexterity.</p> |
