The mechanism for the tilting window has a catch (10) with positioning arms (36) on either side. It has a channel (28) with grooves (32) in its sides (30a,b) to accommodate a fastening pin (20). There is a blind channel or pocket (34) to accommodate a mushroom-shaped fastening element. The catch is associated with a strap and an operating arm.
