Reserve dyeing of textiles

Acid-dyeable natural polyamides or synthetic materials are impregnated with colourless organic cpds. contng. dihalotriazinyl, dihalopyrimidyl, or trihalo-pyrimidyl grps and at least one COOH or SO3H grp. The impregnants are then fixed. The fibres converted to textile fabrics by mixing with untreated fibres, and the fabric dyed or printed with acid or basic dyes.
